La Zza Ro is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer on the verge of ambiance and intuitive songwriting, exploring the intersections between abstract poetry, raw noise, and experimental folk. Guided by a lasting love for intimate tape recordings, looping techniques, ethereal voices, tangible textures, and detuned universes, she weaves together various compositions and sound worlds with a dream-like allure.
She is currently performing solo (tapes, strings, keys, voice) as well as with the bands Zemlya (drums, organ, wvoice) and Sergeant (guitar, voice), and hosts a monthly radio show, Unburdened Bones, on Kiosk Radio.
Her first home-recorded EP, The Inner Land is Wide and Free, was released digitally and as a limited-edition tape (2022, Bonambi).

La Zza Ro is een zangeres, multi-instrumentaliste en componiste die zich beweegt op de grens tussen ambiance en intuïtief songwriting, en de raakvlakken verkent tussen abstracte poëzie, rauwe noise en experimentele folk. Gedreven door een blijvende liefde voor intieme tape-opnames, loopingtechnieken, etherische stemmen, tastbare texturen en ontstemde universums, verweeft ze uiteenlopende composities en klankwerelden tot een dromerig geheel.
Ze treedt momenteel solo op (tapes, snaren, toetsen, stem), maar ook met de bands Zemlya (drums, orgel, zang) en Sergeant (gitaar, zang). Daarnaast presenteert ze het maandelijkse radioprogramma Unburdened Bones op Kiosk Radio.
