Sergeant is the Brussels abstract punk band of composing cineast Benjamin Cools, search-singing actor Ferre Marnef & sonic angle Geraldine Vanspauwen. With scissors and flutes, Sergeant composes his sampled self around the abyss of pop music.
Like editing a movie, they cut sonic scenes into new adventures. On stage, they string the krauty music to experimental heights, influenced by improvised flute skats and performative sing-alongs.

Sergeant is de Brusselse abstracte punkband van componist-cineast Benjamin Cools, search-zingende acteur Ferre Marnef en klankrijke invalshoek Geraldine Vanspauwen. Met scharen en fluiten componeert Sergeant zijn gesamplede zelf rondom de afgrond van popmuziek.
Zoals bij het monteren van een film snijden ze klankscènes tot nieuwe avonturen. Op het podium tillen ze de krautachtige muziek naar experimentele hoogten, beïnvloed door geïmproviseerde fluitscats en performatieve sing-alongs.
